Painting a Picture of Epilepsy

November is Epilepsy Awareness Month, and we're spending the month celebrating Epilepsy Advocates and their stories. We're sharing their very powerful pictures and artistic interpretations of how they feel during a seizure so that people across the world can understand - and see - their experience living with epilepsy. Some common describers of their experience are feelings of disconnectedness, impending doom, tornado in the head, feeling "out of it" and Hulk-like, a fall into blackness and a sense of déjà vu.

But these epilepsy diaries also speak of hope, positivity, and feeling relaxed, awake and alive after the seizure passes. Together as a community, we're so appreciative of these visual interpretations and are seeking solutions so that everyone living with epilepsy can live at their ideal.
